Afternoon market review

Indonesia Stocks: Bukit Asam, Bumi Resources, Holcim Indonesia

Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the noon Jakarta-time break.

The Jakarta Composite index rose 0.2 percent to 3,759.66.

Coal producers: PT Bumi Resources (BUMI IJ), Asia's biggest exporter of power-station coal, fell 1.2 percent to 2,100 rupiah, the first loss in five days. PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA IJ), a state-owned coal producer, slid 1.2 percent to 17,000 rupiah.

Indonesia, the world's largest exporter of power-station coal, cut its benchmark price for December by 3.4 percent to $112.67 a metric ton, the lowest in 11 months, according to the Energy & Mineral Resources Ministry.

PT Holcim Indonesia (SMCB IJ), Indonesia's third-biggest cement producer, rose for a fifth day, climbing 4.3 percent to 2,075 rupiah, set for the steepest increase since Oct. 14. Holcim Indonesia sees 2011 net income rising 21 percent from a year earlier to 1 trillion rupiah ($110 million), supported by an estimated 30 percent gain in cement sales to 7.3 million tons, Bisnis Indonesia reported, citing Irman Andriesjah. Two calls to the company's office in Jakarta weren't answered.
